Slim Design

Wall Mount
Four keyhole slots are on the backside of the Auto-Ripe® for quick and easy wall-mounting. If floor use is preferable, stands to support the generator are available.

Level Indication
Two LED lights turn on when the Ethy-Gen® II reservoir reaches low levels of 250 mL (0.26 qt.) or less. Also, continuous indication of operation status is provided, making it clearly evident of ethylene production.

Place generator in a convenient location inside ripening/degreening/storage room
With power off and generator disconnected from electrical outlet, open reservoir cover, pour in up to liters of Ethy-Gen® II Ripening Concentrate, and close cover
Plug generator into a properly grounded mains electrical outlet of correct voltage.
Select an Ethy-Gen® II to ethylene conversion setting, using the rotator switch located on front panel
Turn generator ON when ready to use. Ethylene production begins in just a few minutes!
Follow proven ripening/degreening/storage procedures, with generator on and Ethy-Gen® II in reservoir.
Turn generator OFF when ethylene application is complete.

Adjustable Conversion Rate: the amount Ethy-Gen® II that converts to ethylene is a user-selectable rate and varies from 0.5 to 2 liters per 24 hours (additional and custom rates available).

Our generators can be used for fruit ripening in rooms that have a minimum cubic dimension of 57 cubic meters / 2000 cubic feet.
On the maximum side, the general rule is 10,000 cubic foot (285 cubic meters). The actual dimensions depends on several factors, including desired ethylene level and room “tightness” (how well-sealed the room is to prevent air loss).
For rooms larger than this, additional generators can be used, if needed, to achieve the proper ethylene level. It may be possible to use just one generator for a room that is larger than 10,000 ft3 / 285 m3; again, dependent upon how tight the room is. We have some customers that are able to use just one generator in rooms that are 570 m3 / 20,000 ft3 and still achieve 150 ppm of ethylene.
Remember, ethylene is explosive at 27,000 ppm; always use our generators in ripening rooms that are 57 m3 (2000 ft3) or larger. When using our equipment as directed, explosive levels of ethylene in ripening rooms are not possible.
