Ethylene output is adjustable for multiple room sizes, which means the Easy-Ripe® can adapt to any ethylene PPM requirements. For larger rooms, additional units easily achieve proper ethylene levels.

NEW FEATURE: Liquid Indicating Cap & Tank
The generator features a newly designed, liquid-indicating cap and tank that holds the all-important Ethy-Gen® II Ripening Concentrate itself.
The spill-proof cap integrates a liquid level indicator, making it easier to know how much Ethy-Gen® II is in the tank.
NEW FEATURE: Access for External Control by PLC or Ripening Room Control Panel
By connecting ethylene sensors to our equipment via these two new ports, a PLC or other Ripening Room Controller can manipulate the ethylene production of the 230V Easy-Ripe®. With setpoint control of ethylene, ripeners can have more exact ethylene level, as the generator will to react to any changes in the ethylene levels in a room and modify ethylene production to maintain a desired setpoint.

Proper Operation Indicator Light:

One liter of Ethy-Gen® II will convert to ethylene over user-determined period. Below are the standard settings; additional and custom rates available.

We have found these setting to be applicable for most rooms and provide sufficient ethylene (150 – 300 ppm) to initiate the ripening process in bananas, tomatoes and other fruits (except citrus, which requires less than 10 ppm; for this, use our Citrus Generator). However, some ripeners prefer to take ethylene readings with an ethylene sampling device and select the setting that produces the ethylene level desired. Room tightness will dictate how much of the ethylene that the generator produces will remain in the room and how much will leak out. Rooms that are of the same size may have different ethylene levels.
Note that for rooms larger than 300 m3 (10,6000 ft3), additional generators can be used, if needed, to achieve the proper ethylene level. It may be possible to use just one generator for a room that is larger than 300 m3; it depends upon how tight the room is. We have some customers that are able to use just one generator in rooms that are over 500 m3 and are able to achieve 150 ppm of ethylene.

*Remember that ethylene is explosive at 27,000 ppm; always use our generators in ripening rooms that are 45 m3 (1600 ft3) or larger. Our products, when used as directed, cannot produce explosive levels of ethylene in commercial ripening rooms.
